It is my resting place.
15.) What is your favorite genre?
My favorite genre is one that has many compiled within its pages. I love books that have it all, Romance, Fictional Fantasy, Action, Adventure, and Inspirational.
16.) What do you think makes a writer successful?
Endurance, that is the key. If you have the endurance to precede with your dream anything is possible. Being a successful writer is hard, you must do a lot of searching either for an agent, a publisher, and most of all you must have the Endurance to write, to examine, to change, and to proceed.
17.) What is it that makes 'you' successful as a writer?
My endurance, I will never give up. I will always search for those that are interested in my work and promote, promote and promote my work. It is always good for a reader to know that they can get a response from the author in a personal since or other. I always try to respond in a personal letter to my readers when they write me. When one company; weather it be publishing or agent turns me down, I do not give up, I keep on looking for the one that will take my work and polish it to its finest shine.
18.) What are your goals as a writer?
My goals as a writer are to write something that has never been written before, and share it with the world, to leave a legacy behind for my children and their children and for generations to come.
19.) What is the best tip you can give to fellow writers?
Never give up, never say die. Always look for the one that will enjoy your work. Keep your hope and your dreams alive. If you believe it then God can do it. Writing is the hardest but most fulfilling business I have ever been in. You must go over your work, time and time again. You will always find something that need to be fixed. Finding an agent or a publisher is also another impossible task, but it can be done. You must hold on to the endurance and faith which you have. Keep on searching for the company that will accept your work.
20.) What do you hope to provide your readers with through your writing?
Faith, Endurance, Hope, Inspiration and to know that no matter what life throws at you, you can always make it through it, you can accomplish what ever you set your mind to, nothing is impossible.
21.) How long did it take you to write your book(s)?
1. "The Burning Bush" published in 2005 by Publish America. You can purchases this book through any online stores.
2. "Soulful Ink: Faith in the Cross of Christ" published in 2006 by Publish America. You can also purchase this book on all or most of the online bookstores.
3. "Naked Heart" published by me, it is a self published work. It is available on LULU.com this book was published in 2007.
4. "The Linking Stones: A New Beginning" was published in 2007, also published with ISBN# in 2008 through myself. It is available now at LULU.com and will soon be available through almost all the online stores. It will be listed in a few more weeks. Note: I think I have found an agent for this book, so it may be coming off the shelves and into a well know publishing company in which will promote for me. This book is the first book in a trilogy.
"The Burning Bush" took me two years to write, "Soulful Ink" one year, "Naked Heart" just a few months, and "The Linking Stones: A New Beginning" has taken me only a year to write.
I am previously writing "The Linking Stones: A Novel Journey" now. It is the second book to "The Linking Stones trilogy".
22.) What would you do differently if you could repeat the same publishing experience?
I would not have published through Publish America; I would have searched for agents then have them to submit it to Publishing Company.
23.) What have you learned about the publishing world?
If it seems to go to be true it is, if it seems to easy, then there is something behind it. Just like publishing with Publish America. I did not know that they publish every work that comes their way, I thought they only published good works, they also publish works with so many grammar errors it is unreal.
To find a good agent that gets paid only when you get paid is a long process, To find a High standing publisher to take your work, or even take the time to look at your work it must be submitted through an agent first.
It is a dog eat dog world out there, but if you have the endurance to keep on walking, keep on searching, and keep pressing in you will find the right place to be. You can make it only if you strive to do so.
24.) This is your chance to 'Talk Back' to your readers. What would you like to say to them?
First of all my poetry is my soul poured out upon the pages of life, only in a visible form you can see it, but to understand it you must look at it with the eyes of your soul.
My first novel, which is a three part series hold many secrets within the pages. You will find a number reference too many secret truths, which is not really a secret, but only forgotten.
I want to tell each and every one of my readers, Thank you. I truly appreciate you, if it was not for you, I would have no reason to write. A writer is only successful, because of their readers and fans. Most readers are just people that buy and read books to many authors, but readers to me are the foundation of the Book World.
I also want my readers to know that when I write, I try to place things within my books that you can relate to. I want you to see that all things are possible only if you believe. No mountain, is to high to climb; No River, is to wide to swim, There is no sky in which you can not fly, There is nothing that you can not do, if only you believe. And always remember that "Through the fire of Life, you are refined; but by your faith you are defined".
25.) What's the one thing that you want people to know about your writing?
I want people to know that my writing is fictional, but also hold truth within its pages. I want them to know that in my trilogy novel that I am working on now holds real keys to life. Though the story itself is fictional, the characters are based on real people. It is a spiritually battle we all go through written into a physical drama for you to visualize with your soulful eyes. It is compiled with every genre you can think of; it is the completion of life in a Dramatized form. It holds our problems, and the answers to our problems. It is only for you as the reader to find the message that lies deep within the pages, that has been written just for you. In the trilogy "The Linking Stones", it holds the faith that links every human being together and what will continue to link each one together till the end of time, and through eternity. So please come find the link that binds us together.
