Karen Michelle Nutt is a member to the Romance Writers of America (RWA). In her spare time, she reviews book for PNR- Paranormal Romance Reviews. An avid reader of history, romance, and the paranormal, she tends to combine the three in her writings. Lost in the Mist of Time was inspired with a trip to Ireland. She enjoyed Ireland.s charming beauty, along with its interesting history and legends. One of the more unusual tours was to St. Michan.s Church, founded in 1095. For five hundreds years, it was the only parish in Dublin, north of the River Liffey. The main attraction lies in the vaults underneath the church where four mummified remains are on display. No one knows the identity of these four people that were worthy to be buried on such sacred grounds. Ms. Nutt found that it would be an intriguing prospect to weave a tale around an added inhabitant, bringing him back to life so to speak. It would be his story about how he lived, and loved; however, it would be with a twist: a chance to change his fate.

Stolen Pleasures: Christine DeSmet

Iris's life revolved around her antique and art shop, even her potential romantic life seemed stagnated to the men who came through that shop door, but things began to change after the mysterious death of her latest beau, Calvin Gardner, and the enchanting portrait of the woman in green. After a late night break in, Iris was introduce to Officer Sparrow, a sturdy looking man who made her heart race, who at first seemed more concerned about her connection to her boyfriend's death, than he was about her concerns. Who had killed Clavin, and who was trying to steal the painting? Would Iris finally find her romantic match? The answers lay within the first chapter of "The Object Of Romance Anthology. This tidy little love story, that came across more as a mystery than a romance, but it's an enjoyable read. I liked Author, Christine's style of writing; I just wish there had been a longer courtship.

Summer Breeze: Linda L. Lattimer

The Key West beach is the scenic location for this story. After the boating accident that had killed her father, Sophia found herself tending to her sickly, bereaved mother, Sophia hoped the charming island would help return her mother from her unhealthy physical and emotional state. She'd lost her father, and now it appeared she was losing her mother as well, but her mother's only focus seemed to be on Sophia finding someone to love; something Sophia felt was unlikely. That boating accident had left its mark on Sophia as well, leaving her with a permanent disability she knew would prevent her from ever having a normal life. Sophia could see the mysterious stranger watching her from below the balcony, and little did she know at that moment, that Scott Ducan would turn out to be her love match.

Sophia could see the mysterious stranger watching her from below the balcony, and little did she know at that moment, that Scott Ducan would turn out to be her love match.

Summer Breeze is a sad story with a happy ending, and I enjoyed the part where her departed father’s words urge her to stop hiding behind her disability. This is a good read, and a reminder that with faith, life does go on.

LIFE'S CHOICES: Patricia E. Gitt

Being a CEO in a thriving business, was hectic for Elizabeth Barnes, and she needed a break, accepting her friend and co-worker's Stephen's offer to retreat to his hideaway in Vermont, and being pampered by Stephen's housekeeper, was just what she'd needed. Her outing in town led to her encounter with the confident Jack Lawson, a man she'd known from the past, and her memory reminded her of the last time she'd seen him. Jack was a charming, strikingly attractive man, who always drew the women to him, but they had never connected. Stephen and Jack had been friends since school, and Stephen was thrilled with the prospect of Jack and Elizabeth being a couple, and Jack seemed as totally taken with her as she was with him. Could this relationship between a corporate city woman, and a laid-back country man, work? You'll have to read "Life’s Choices" to find out.

This is a delightful read that kept me glued to my seat! Having a love partner is always better when you don't really need one to complete you, but having one enhances your life. Patricia did an excellent job portraying her characters in a believable way. If you're into success stories, this one wouldn't be a waste of your reading time.

MR. O'GRADY'S MAGIC BOX By:Karen Michelle Nutt

MR. O’GRADY’S MAGIC BOX, was rumored to have magical powers, and it became Aubrey Jules assignment to locate the box and check it out. Her journey led her to a romantic hideaway, where she found the special box locked in a curio cabinet, and MR. O’GRADY was more than happy to explain the box's history, though he could tell that Aubrey needed a little more convincing. He'd told her that the box was first taken from a leprechaun, and could unite soul-mates, but Aubrey didn't believe in fables, nor that some small box could grant wishes, especially when it came to matters of the heart. MR. O’GRADY urged Aubrey to place a wish in the box, asking her if she remembered her first real kiss, and her mind went back to a much earlier time in her life, to her first true feelings of love, and the hurtful reality that came with it. It was her job to get to the truth, so she added her request to the box, feeling an electrical jolt when she held the box in her hand, and just as MR. O’Grady had predicted, her note disappeared. Taken by the hands of the fairies, O’Grady had explained. Much to Aubrey's surprise, she would soon see her scornful lover, Ian again, and even after 10 years the memory weighted heavily on her heart. After their night of passion, he'd left her, but now he would explain what had happened, and just as they began to rediscover their feelings, Aubrey's boyfriend showed up, halting the growing romance. What was to come of Aubrey's wish for a soul mate? Had her wish already been granted by the unexpected arrival of her boyfriend? Or was Ian really who she was meant to be with? This is an enjoyable read with a magical touch. I like stories that add a paranormal twist. Excellent job, Karen!

DOUBLE BOOKED: by Courtney E. Michel

At her brother's badgering, Mina took Garritt up on his invitation to join him and his girlfriend on their month long lake house vacation, but at first, Mina had declined. After her divorce, Tracy and her young daughter, Lauren, stayed with her brother and his girlfriend, and Mina was feeling like the third wheel. She missed having someone to share her life with, but marriage had left a bad taste in her heart. Cullen Porter had experienced enough of bad dating, after his potential dates with Stephanie led to nowhere. He was the proverbial "nice guy" who couldn't seem to find his love match. Out of frustration he decided he needed to take a little vacation, unknowingly renting the same lake house Mina's brother had already rented. Feeling bad over the stranger's plight, Garritt suggested Cullen stay, and as fate would have it, Mina also decided to show up. It was an instant attraction, but both were cautious. Despite his previous promise to himself not to attempt dating any more, Cullen asked Mina out, but she declined, soon regretting her decision.

This is a quaint love story about two people who felt that love had passed them by, drawn together by a twist of fate. I have to humorously note that it appears Courtney must not have attended many bingo games, but I liked the way this story came together with a happy ending.
